Stephanie A. (Tess) Blair

Stephanie A. “Tess” Blair is director of Morgan Lewis Resources – Legal Logistics and a partner in the Litigation Practice.

As director of Legal Logistics, Ms. Blair works with Morgan Lewis attorneys and clients to develop case-management strategies and cutting-edge technologies designed to provide clients with state-of-the-art discovery management, knowledge sharing and collaboration resources. Legal Logistics offers case-management services, provides cost-effective staffing, develops customized extranet sites, manages e-discovery and implements customized case management plans for clients. The solutions offered through Legal Logistics play a large role in defending clients in the areas of product liability, toxic tort , antitrust litigation, construction litigation, insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation. Legal Logistics is a unit of Morgan Lewis Resources, a division of Morgan Lewis that focuses on providing innovative legal solutions in the areas of workplace training, immigration, affirmative action, legal logistics and corporate compliance to large and small companies nationwide.

In her role as partner, Ms. Blair counsels and defends clients primarily in the areas of product liability, toxic tort and construction litigation. A considerable portion of her practice involves the defense of clients in national serial litigation and class actions. She has also represented clients in insurance coverage matters for eight years. Ms. Blair has lectured on civil procedure and discovery management, and has published articles pertaining to document management and e-discovery in legal journals nationwide.

She received her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude in 1997 and was accepted into the Order of the Coif. Ms. Blair was also projects editor for the University of Miami Law Review , as well as a member of The University of Miami Moot Court. She received her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Ursinus College, where she graduated summa cum laude in 1994. Prior to receiving her bachelor’s degree, Ms. Blair studied industrial design at the Philadelphia College of Art, where she concentrated on product development, computer-aided design and marketing. Ms. Blair also gained invaluable entrepreneurial insight by founding and operating a small business before pursuing her law degree.
